What motivated you to join the Fitness for Life development team?

I was motivated to join the Fitness for Life development team to help people with cerebral palsy to get more physical activity. As a 23-year-old with CP I believe it’s so important to be physically active. I’m involved in footy clubs and it’s about being in the environment that is inclusive that makes my physical and mental health better. I am so looking forward to seeing how the website can help people with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities.

What do you hope the impact of this resource will be for other young adults with cerebral palsy?

I hope to encourage people to be able to get out and do physical activity. I hope going forward people are more comfortable to get out and improve on their physical and mental fitness.

What is your favourite physical activity to participate in at the moment, and why?

My favourite physical activity to participate in is probably going to the gym. I go to the gym 3 times a week with a support worker, and I love how important it is as my life gets older. This is important to me as I know that I need to move my body so that I can do the things I love all the time.
