Gym equipment
What equipment can I use in the gym?
Gym equipment can be quite adaptable to the needs of many.
Sometimes it takes some creativity and problem solving to get the program that works for you.
The aim of this page is to give you some ideas of how young adults with CP have used gym equipment within their programs.
This includes using standard equipment, specialised equipment, and adapting equipment:
Standard equipment: Equipment that is commonly found in community gyms
Specialised equipment: Gym equipment that is designed specifically for people with disability, and equipment that young adults have purchased to use in the gym.
Adapted use: How young adults and their teams have adapted existing equipment to meet their needs
